A jury found Warren Siao guilty in the 2023 shooting death of tow truck driver Jayson Click following a trial in Alabama.

Prosecutors said Click was attempting to repossess Siao’s vehicle at his Wedgewood Terrace home in December 2023 when Siao opened fire. During the trial, jurors heard testimony from responding deputies and an FBI investigator, while security video from Siao’s home was also presented as evidence. Prosecutors argued Siao knew repossession was possible because he had fallen behind on vehicle payments.

Siao testified that he believed the repo crew was attempting to steal from him and claimed he fired only to scare them away because he thought they were burglars. However, prosecutors argued Siao ignored a handgun in his bedroom, retrieved a rifle equipped with a suppressor, and intentionally fired at the repo team.

Assistant district attorneys said the verdict brings some measure of justice and closure to Click’s family after more than two years. Siao is scheduled to be sentenced June 10 at 11 a.m. Source: https://www.waff.com
