Truck Makers Honor America's 250th
Truck manufacturers are marking America's 250th anniversary with a lineup of patriotic special-edition models that could soon find their way into the towing and recovery industry.
Kenworth has revived its iconic 1990s TourAmerica paint scheme for its Freedom 250 edition, available on the T680, T880, W900L and W990. The company also contributed a specially painted T680 to the nationwide Freedom 250 Tour.
Peterbilt unveiled its limited-edition Freedom 250 Model 589, with production capped at 250 trucks. The commemorative model features exclusive red, white and blue paint, custom Freedom 250 badging, premium interior trim and commemorative details throughout.
Mack Trucks joined the celebration with a custom-wrapped America 250 Mack Pioneer tribute truck showcasing the company's American heritage.
PacLease also introduced Freedom 250 graphics on new rental trucks entering service across the United States.
With the T880 and Model 589 already popular choices for heavy-duty wreckers, these patriotic editions could soon become eye-catching additions to towing fleets nationwide.
