Truck Driver Honored for Aiding Injured Biker

Kevin Olsen, a truck driver for Truline Corporation and longtime Logan, Utah resident, has been recognized as a Highway Angel by the Truckload Carriers Association and received the Knights of the Road Award from the Nevada Trucking Association for his heroic actions in Logan Canyon.

While driving from Garden City to Logan, Olsen witnessed a motorcyclist lose control and crash. He immediately stopped to help, offering water, ibuprofen, and assessing the rider’s injuries. The rider wasn’t seriously hurt but couldn’t ride his damaged Harley-Davidson. Olsen stayed with him for 90 minutes, directed traffic, and remained on scene until a tow truck arrived.

Despite praise from bystanders and officials, Olsen remains humble. “I think anybody in their right mind would do it,” he said.

Olsen, also a high school wrestling and baseball coach, credits his calm response to years of mentoring youth. His wife, Tiffany, called him “selfless” and “the best person I know.”
