Towman Charged After Fatal North Carolina Crash
A Raleigh, North Carolina, tow truck driver is facing multiple felony charges after a crash involving a tow truck, two motorcycles and a sedan left one motorcyclist dead and four others injured early Friday morning.
According to Raleigh police, the collision occurred around 2:36 a.m. at the intersection of Capital Boulevard and Trawick Road. Investigators allege Allan Guerrero, 39, was driving a tow truck southbound on Capital Boulevard when he ran a red light while turning left onto Trawick Road, striking two motorcycles and a sedan traveling through the intersection.
One of the motorcyclists, 35-year-old Chandler Hodge, was pronounced dead at the scene. Guerrero, the second motorcyclist and two occupants of the sedan were transported to a hospital with injuries.
Police charged Guerrero with aggravated felony death by vehicle, three counts of felony serious injury by vehicle, driving while impaired, driving while license revoked for an impaired revocation, failing to stop for a red light and several traffic offenses. He also faces charges of drunk and disorderly conduct and resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer.
The investigation remains ongoing.
