Towing Entrepreneur Offers Blueprint for Business Growth
Entrepreneur Early Walker is encouraging small business owners to focus on consistency, systems, and customer service after growing a one-truck towing operation into one of Illinois' largest towing companies before selling the business in a multi-million-dollar private equity deal.
Walker launched W&W Towing in 2013 with a single truck and said his growth strategy centered on affordable pricing, dependable service, and high customer volume rather than maximizing profit on each tow. He credits listening to customers and remaining accessible as key factors behind the company's rapid expansion.
Now, through his initiative No Business Left Behind, Walker mentors entrepreneurs in underserved communities by providing business coaching, operational guidance, and access to capital.
Walker said many small businesses struggle because owners become indispensable to daily operations, neglect marketing, or run out of cash before reaching their potential. He encourages business owners to build systems, delegate responsibilities, understand their financials, and continually invest in learning.
His advice for entrepreneurs is simple: "Make one more sales visit, one more phone call, and learn one more skill." Walker is also taking those lessons on a 10-city tour designed to provide practical business education and resources to entrepreneurs across the country.
