Tower Killed in Rear-End Crash

In Danbury, Connecticut, a 20-year-old tow truck driver died in a rear-end crash with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 84. 

Zachary James Carlson, 20, died at the scene of the wreck, which police said happened shortly before 8:30 p.m.  

Carlson was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado medium-duty tow truck behind a tractor-trailer when he failed to “slow down due to traffic” and struck the rig in front of him. 

The driver of the other truck, a 62-year-old Massachusetts resident, was taken to Saint Mary’s Hospital with what state police said were suspected to be minor injuries.
