Stolen Rotator Recovered in New Jersey

A stolen rotator owned by P.J.’s Towing of Lansing, Michigan was discovered in a parking lot in N.J. by the owner of Hawks Towing & Recovery after P.J.’s ran a TiKTok video with before and after pictures of the Mario themed unit played to the music of Super Mario Brothers. The rotator was stolen last week out of P.J.’s secured facility.

Owner P.J. Daly said, “My son said, ‘Daddy, we should do a TikTok video. There’s a lot of people on there. You never know.’”

Desperate to get the rotator back, Daly made the video with his son, adding the message: “Please help. Truck was last seen in N.J.”

On Friday morning, a driver at Hawks went to pick up a box truck in a private parking lot when he discovered a "cool rotator" sitting next to it that the owner of the lot also wanted removed. The driver sent a picture of the rotator to the owner of Hawks, who then remembered seeing the video on TikTok.

The owner of Hawks then personally went out to find the truck, discovering it was no longer sitting in a lot, but another parking facility down the road, at the back, squished between two semi tractor trailers.

‘He called the police and then called us,” said Daly. “I’m just so happy and thankful to get it back.”

Surveillance cameras at the private parking lot may help turn up the suspects behind this criminal activity.  Source: P.J.s Towing
