Miller Industries Upgrades Car Carriers

Miller Industries has announced a major upgrade to its Century, Vulcan, and Chevron 10-Series, 12-Series LCG™, and 16-Series LCG™ car carrier lineups, making a new 12,000-pound DP worm-gear winch standard equipment across the platforms.

The upgrade replaces the previous 8,000-pound winch, increasing pulling capacity by 50 percent. The new winch, available exclusively through Miller Industries, is backed by a four-year warranty.

Designed for heavy-duty professional use, the DP winch features a 100% bronze worm gear for improved heat dissipation and durability, along with an oversized worm shaft that helps maintain gear alignment under load while reducing binding and heat buildup.

The winch carries a true SAE J706-rated 12,000-pound capacity, helping close the gap between winch performance and deck capacity on Miller’s car carriers.

“Going from 8,000 lbs. to 12,000 lbs. of pulling capacity is a meaningful upgrade for our operators,” said Kipp Felice, Miller Industries vice president of marketing and business solutions.

The upgraded carriers are available now through Miller Industries’ distributor network.
