Honk Technologies announced it has been acquired by private equity firm Frontenac while simultaneously completing its acquisition of CurbsideSOS, expanding its roadside assistance and accident-management platform.

The combined company will be led by former Grubhub executives, including CEO Adam DeWitt, Chairman Matt Maloney, COO Eric Ferguson, and CFO Morgan Hughes. The leadership team brings experience scaling large logistics marketplaces and consumer-facing platforms.

Executives said the company will focus on modernizing roadside assistance through AI-powered dispatch, real-time service visibility, and improved coordination among insurers, automakers, fleets, and roadside providers.

The integration of CurbsideSOS is expected to strengthen Honk’s nationwide provider network and further its goal of replacing traditional call-center dispatch systems with a real-time digital logistics layer.

Frontenac said it will support the company’s growth strategy through its CEO1ST investment approach, emphasizing operational leadership and acquisitions in the services sector.

Honk founder Corey Brundage said the deal accelerates efforts to improve accident response, secondary towing, and transparency across the roadside industry. Source: https://www.businesswire.com
