GTS Adds Remote Controls to Boost Safety and Efficiency
Global Towing Systems (GTS), a Hungary-based manufacturer of heavy-duty recovery vehicles, has introduced advanced remote-control technology to improve safety and efficiency for operators. The company, which produces recovery trucks capable of handling loads up to 30 tonnes, partnered with Tele Radio to enhance control precision during complex recovery operations.
“Every movement matters when recovering a crashed truck or bus,” said Michel Noel, CEO of GTS. “Reliable and precise equipment is essential to avoid damage, delays, or accidents.”
GTS selected Tele Radio’s VersaTEQ waist transmitter and Panther handheld system for their flexibility and accuracy. VersaTEQ offers ergonomic design, RFID access control, BUS compatibility, and an active antenna that extends range up to 50 meters. This allows operators to control vehicle recovery from a safe distance, reducing the need to return to the truck’s built-in panel.
For confined spaces, the compact Panther remote provides similar functionality. Noel said customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, praising the added control and customization options. Source: Press Release GTS
